WellLife Network helps New Yorkers with behavioral health needs and intellectual and developmental disabilities live full lives in their communities. We do something rare: we don’t just deliver care — we build the supportive housing it happens in. Across New York City and Long Island, that means nearly $150 million in annual operations, 203 housing units completing right now, and a development pipeline through 2030. We are one of two primary housing-support partners of NYC Health + Hospitals, and our net assets have grown from $4 million to $34 million — a mission on firm footing, growing by choice.

Who We’re Looking For

Leaders who want their expertise to matter. We’re especially glad to meet people who know healthcare and payer systems, real estate and affordable-housing finance, law, philanthropy, fundraising, marketing, or community leadership — but the first qualification is caring about the work. You don’t need prior board experience; you need judgment, commitment, and the wish to govern something that matters.

What Board Service Involves

Quarterly board meetings. Service on one committee where your skills fit. Being a genuine ambassador for the mission. Personal generosity meaningful to you. Directors serve defined terms and receive full orientation, a mentor from the current board, and staff support throughout — no one serves alone here.
